On two weekends (6–8 and 13–15 November) 32 Illmitz wineries hold open cellar days, Friday and Saturday 2–9 pm, Sunday 9 am–2 pm. The 60 euro weekend ticket includes wine vouchers worth 45 euros; on Saturdays there is a guided national park excursion to watch the geese.
